The Journal of Chinese Ritual, Theatre and Folklore is currently indexed in the Taiwan Social Sciences Citation Index (TSSCI 臺灣社會科學引文索引, since 2005) and Taiwan Humanities Citation Index (THCI 臺灣人文學引文索引, since 2010)—both are included in the journal evaluation system launched by the Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences 人文社會科學研究中心 (affiliated with the National Science and Technology Council 國家科學及技術委員會) to represent high-quality academic journals published in Taiwan.
